Penrith to Maroota via Mount Tomah

Z Car Club NSW invites members on this cruise exploring Sydney’s northwest.

Starting at Penrith, heading north to Richmond before heading up into the hills via Bells Line of Road to Blue Mountains Botanic Garden Mount Tomah.
Enjoy the spectacular views whilst enjoying morning tea, or take a wander through some of the magnificent gardens.

We’ll then head back to Kurmond and make our to Maroota for lunch at the Stonehouse Cafe via Freemans Reach, Windsor, Pitt Town & Cattai.

Main Run

Section 1 – Penrith to Mount Tomah – Morning Tea @ Blue Mountains Botanic Gardens 🍰☕

Depart McDonalds

• Turn left onto Mulgoa Rd (becomes Castlereagh Rd), head north – 19 kms
• Turn left onto Crowleys Lane, Agnes Banks – 1 km
• Turn right onto Yarramundi Lane – 2.4 kms
• Turn left onto Kurrajong Rd (becomes Bells Line of Road)– 37 kms
• Turn left into Botanic Gardens entry (Old Bells Line of Road)
• Follow to top carpark

Section 2 – Mount Tomah to Maroota

Depart Gardens

• Turn right onto Bells Line of Road, head east to Kurmond – 32 kms
• Turn left onto Kurmond Rd to Freemans Reach – 10 kms
• Continue straight, becomes Gorricks Lane. Follow to end – 2 kms
• Turn left at round-a-bout onto Freemans Reach Rd.
• Cross Hawksbury River at Windsor.
• Turn left onto Pitt Town Rd, McGraths Hill. Follow to Pitt Town 4.5 kms
• At Pitt Town, follow signs to “Wisemans Ferry”
• Turn right onto Chatham St – 100 mtrs
• Turn right onto Eldon St – 400 mtrs
• Turn left onto Cattai Rd (becomes Wisemans Ferry Rd) – 19 kms
• Stonehouse Cafe is on left
