Finally some good weather for a drive north. We met at Waitara Maccas for a chat and coffee mid morning. Good to see Bruce there with his old faithful white 260.
Terry, Barry and Darren, Vincent, Ern, Robyn and myself were soon joined by Chris and Margo driving the yellow Z31.
Regrouped at Berowra then headed off.
We proceeded up the old Pacific Highway, which these days is restricted to 60K and probably just as well as many push and motor bikes were also out and about. We then joined the F3 and after about 50Ks of driving and reassuring my beautiful and nervous better half that the door was properly shut and that the rush of air was typical of these old dinosaurs, Ern was kind enough to pull along side and point to the problem ie. door.
Exited at the Wyong turnoff then onto the Ingido restaurant within the club. Upon arrival we discovered the yellow Z31 was not amongst us. Found out that Chris and Margo had a turbo problem and had to loop back onto the F3 in the hope of making it back home before something blew up. Must have been an anxious trip.
Richard and Clair met us there and it was good to catch up with them after there recent move into the area. Dave (from Port Macquarie) also joined us there. Great to catch up with him again.
We all look very serious don’t we.
I think we all found the venue to be good value. The restaurant is fairly new and spacious and the food reasonably priced.
See you on the next outing to the Lithgow small arms factory in April. Stay tuned.
