Presidents Runsheet 2024 29 & 30th June

8.00am Leave Metro Fuel Station 583 Bells Line of Rd, Kurmond

Travel to Mt Victoria then turn right onto the great Western Highway and onto Bowenfels.

Turn left onto Magpie Hollow Road and at the Hampton Road intersection continue onto Sodwall Road.

Drive onto Tarana coffee stop. Mumma Snows country kitchen & general store.

10.15am leave Tarana travel onto Mutton Falls Road, turn left onto Boulton Lane then right at Carlwood Road at next T intersection turn left onto O’Connell Road. Turn right onto Mayfield Road and look for the signs into Mayfield Garden.

Arrive 10.45-11.00am Mayfield Gardens our lunch stop.

Mayfield Garden is the largest privately held European inspired garden in the world. This is a truly amazing place. Please enjoy the walking tour of Mayfield Garden. Even if you’re not into gardens you will find this to be extraordinary and spectacular.

1.00pm lunch

1.45pm Leave Mayfield Garden turn left to Mayfield Road, at T intersection with O’Connell Road turn left towards Bathurst.

Travel to Bathurst, at first roundabout at Great Western Highway turn left and follow road through Bathurst west to Cowra Road. Travel onto Blaney and continue through the town toward Cowra.

Arrive at Mandurama and turn right onto Belubula Way towards Canowindra. On arriving in Canowindra turn left into Tilga Street and travel to Eddys our accommodation is at number 13. Parking is at the rear of the building.

Accommodation Eddys of Canowindra is a restored 100-year-old historic convent building– full of unique character and country charm.

There’s a full commercial kitchen onsite, so we will do breakfast here Sunday morning. We will do a BBQ breakfast, otherwise bring what you want.

Craig Lawler, AKA Blind Freddy, will provide an entertaining tour re Ben Hall the bushranger where you will learn about Ben Hall and the bushrangers that took over Canowindra for three days.

Tour 1.0 to 1.5 hours cost $40/person
